2 jeep safaris included All meals at the resort Ramnagar pickup available From Rs. 5,500 per person

Package Overview

Why 2 nights is the right length for Corbett

A single night in Corbett forces you to choose between a morning and an evening safari. Two nights removes that compromise. You reach Ramnagar without rushing, settle into the resort, take an evening jeep safari on day one, and still have a full early-morning drive on day two when wildlife movement is at its best. The third day stays unhurried: a riverside walk, breakfast, and checkout before the drive home. That rhythm is why the 2N3D format is the most booked Corbett plan for couples, families, and small friend groups travelling from Delhi and the NCR.

Day 1

Arrival, check-in & evening safari

Arrive at Ramnagar by road (about 5.5–6 hours from Delhi via NH309) or by train to Ramnagar station, where a pickup can be waiting. Check in to the resort, have lunch, and rest briefly before the afternoon reporting time.

The evening jeep safari usually runs in Bijrani, Garjia, or Dhela depending on your date and permit availability. Winter afternoons bring soft light on the grasslands; summer evenings concentrate wildlife near water. You return to the resort by dusk for dinner.

Day 2

Morning safari & Kosi riverside circuit

An early wake-up call, tea, and a dawn reporting time at the gate. The morning drive is the strongest sighting window of the trip — tigers, elephants, and deer herds are most active before the day warms up. You are back at the resort for a late breakfast.

The afternoon is for the local circuit: Garjia Devi temple on its rock in the Kosi river, the Corbett museum at Dhangarhi, and riverside viewpoints along the Ramnagar–Dhangarhi stretch. Families with children often make this the favourite half-day of the trip.

Day 3

Nature walk, breakfast & departure

A slow start: a guided nature walk along the Kosi river or through the resort's own trails, watching for kingfishers, hornbills, and river waders. Corbett has more than 550 recorded bird species, and the riverbank at sunrise is the easiest place to meet them.

After breakfast, check out and begin the return drive, or extend the trip — many guests add a Dhikala canter safari or a night in Nainital on the way back. Both extensions can be built into the original quote.

Budget Guidance

How the 2N3D package is priced

The stay class drives most of the price difference; the safari and permit component stays similar across tiers. These are planning ranges for 2026 travel — the working quote is always confirmed against your exact date and group size.

Standard

From Rs. 5,500 pp

Clean, well-run resorts a short drive from the safari gates. The right choice when the safaris are the point of the trip and the room is simply a comfortable base. Best value for friend groups and budget-aware families.

Riverside Premium

Quote-led

Resorts on the Kosi river with lawns, pools, and river-facing rooms. The most requested tier for couples and families who want the stay itself to feel like part of the holiday. Weekend dates fill first in this class.

Luxury

Quote-led

Full-service properties with spa, curated dining, and larger suites. Usually paired with private safari vehicles and flexible meal timing. Best suited to celebrations, anniversaries, and slower multi-generation trips.

Who It Suits

Common ways travellers shape this package

Families with children

Keep the morning safari, swap the evening drive for the riverside and temple circuit, and choose a resort with a pool. The pace stays gentle and nobody sits through two long drives in one day.

Couples

Riverside premium stay, both safaris kept, and dinner by the Kosi. Many couples add a third night or extend to Nainital — the Corbett + Nainital package covers that plan.

Wildlife-first travellers

Both jeep safaris in different zones, an added Dhikala canter seat, and zone selection weighted by recent sighting patterns. Read the tiger sighting guide before locking zones.

Short-on-time groups

If two nights is one too many, the 1N2D weekend package compresses the same structure into a single night with one or two safaris.

Timing

When to book this package

Jhirna, Dhela, Garjia, and Sitabani stay open through the year, so the 2N3D package works in every season. The classic window is 15 November to 14 June, when Bijrani and the Dhikala core zone operate and winter mornings give the best light and the longest sighting lists. Summer (April to June) is hot but concentrates wildlife around waterholes; monsoon (July to mid-November) is the green, quiet, budget-friendly season built around the year-round zones.

For zone-by-zone timing, see the best time to visit guide and the safari zones overview. For current safari and package rates, the safari prices page keeps the working ranges in one place.

FAQ

Holiday package questions, answered

What is the price of a 2 nights 3 days Jim Corbett package?

Package pricing starts around Rs. 5,500 per person and moves with stay class, travel date, safari format, and group size. A 2N3D plan with two jeep safaris and a mid-range resort is quoted after the date and guest count are confirmed.

Which safari zones are included?

The zone is matched to your date and season. Bijrani, Garjia, Jhirna, and Dhela are the common jeep safari zones, while a Dhikala canter seat can be added when the core zone is open between mid-November and mid-June.

Can the package be customised for families with children?

Yes. Families usually swap one safari for the Kosi riverside and Garjia temple circuit, choose a resort with a pool and lawn, and keep the morning safari for the day everyone is fresh.

Does the package include pickup from Ramnagar railway station?

Yes, Ramnagar station and bus stand pickups can be included in the quote. Delhi, Kathgodam, and Pantnagar transfers are quoted as an add-on based on vehicle type and timing — see the taxi page for route details.

How far in advance should I book?

Two to four weeks ahead is comfortable for most dates. Long weekends, Diwali to New Year weeks, and summer school holidays fill earlier, and Dhikala-linked plans should be started as early as possible.

Is this package right for a first Corbett trip?

Yes. Two nights allows one evening and one morning safari, riverside time, and local sightseeing without the rush of a single-night visit. It is the format we recommend to most first-time visitors.
