A Thriving New Territory for Predators and Bird Lovers.
Inaugurated in January 2022, the Phato Safari Zone is located within the Terai West forest range. While it is a newer addition to the Corbett safari circuit, it has rapidly gained fame for its dense mixed forests and its reputation as a high-density area for the Royal Bengal Tiger and Asiatic Elephants.
Phato has seen a surge in tiger sightings since its opening, making it a "must-visit" zone for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts who want to avoid the crowds of more established zones.
One of the standout features of the Phato range is the availability of eco-friendly treehouses, allowing visitors to experience the jungle sounds from an elevated perspective.
From the Sloth Bear to the rare honey buzzard, the Phato range is an ecological treasure trove waiting to be explored.
The Phato range, being a relatively new addition, offers a raw and dense habitat where wildlife has thrived with minimal human interference.
