A Mountainous Retreat with Pristine Riverine Views.
Durga Devi is an ecotourism zone within the Corbett Tiger Reserve, renowned for its hilly terrain, dense forests, and adventurous atmosphere. Located on the north-eastern side of the park, it is celebrated for its scenic beauty, with the Ramganga and Mandal rivers flowing through the area.
As the most mountainous part of the park, Durga Devi is a prime location for spotting high-altitude bird species and rare raptors.
The zone provides breathtaking views of the river confluence, which is also a breeding ground for the famous Mahseer fish.
With steep slopes and deep valleys, the safari in Durga Devi is considered more adventurous and visually dramatic than the central plains.
The hilly terrain and Ramganga river presence make Durga Devi a haven for birdlife and aquatic species that are rare in the southern zones.
